We were sitting in my car with Deivi, when the bus with
Italians arrived, in fact we were more
than excited about the students exchange between Saluzzo and Kanepi.
Meeting my guest Gabriella was really heartwarming, from the
first sight we started to get along really good. I was lucky to host same
humorous person as I am by myself. Next
couple of days went by too fast, I wish that we had more time to spend
together.
But the time we had was more
than fun.

We visited many famous places in southern Estonia. One day we went to Võru with two cars and had
a little “car race” from one place to other, of course our final destination
was Munamägi what we Estonians call so proudly
our “biggest mountain”. Which is
for our Italian friends just a little hill.
The day that we spent in Tartu was also full of different
activities, such as visiting Ahhaa science centre, 4D cinema and adventure park
in Lõunakeskus. It was really enjoyable to
spend time with Italians because of their open communication. For example
with Gabriella I could talk about anything from how to get driving licence to
our family habits even though neither of us speaks clear English.
Last morning, when our dear friends were leaving was so
heartsore that tears came to every one`s eyes.
In conclusion it seems to me that Estonians and Italians are
more alike than we could imagine before.
